Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin opposes state resolution commending crisis pregnancy centers

As surely as the world turns, pro-abortion forces oppose any and all efforts to bring true choice into the abortion debate.

In a legislative memo obtained by Pro-Life Wisconsin, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin outlines their opposition to an Assembly Joint Resolution “honoring pregnancy care centers and proclaiming October 2011 as Pregnancy Care Month.” Read the PPAWI’s memo here [PDF]. Read the text of the AJR here [PDF].

Because, after all, as NARAL points out, abortion is safer than childbirth! So safe, facilities that perform abortions in Wisconsin aren’t subject to health department inspections.

Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin goes biking for Baby-B-Gone

In an attempt to make the most out of its 75th birthday, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin has been encouraging supporters to organize “house parties” in celebration of all the wonder that is PPWI (ick).

Putting a macabre (and most likely unintentional) twist on Biking for Babies, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin held a “Bike ride with Planned Parenthood” in Madison this past Saturday.

For an organization as large as Planned Parenthood, with all of its taxpayer dollars and community outreach… and only 14 people wanted to ride around Madison with PPWI banners waving on their bikes? Considering Madison’s political atmosphere, if an event like this can’t make it in Madison, the winds of change may be blowing in the wrong direction.

P.S. Rumor has it turnout was so bad, the event was canceled. Perhaps the Roe Effect is hitting home. You have to wonder about the future of a movement that can’t muster a group to ride bikes around hippie-central, liberal-lovin’ Madison.

God’s sense of humor on Good Friday

More than 100 people showed up today for our Stations of the Cross in Milwaukee. In the photo, below, you can see the procession from St. Rita’s to Affiliated and the crowd of pro-lifers lining the sidewalk outside the abortion facility. But the crowd of pro-lifers isn’t even the best part!

When we arrived at Affiliated Medical Services this morning, we started in right away with the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. We had already prayed the Sorrowful Mysteries at St. Rita’s, so we thought we would mix it up a bit down at the mill. When we were done with the Rosary, another vigiler felt compelled to recite a prayer honoring the Face of Jesus. Within this beautiful oration was an exorcism prayer.

Suddenly we noticed that the police were in the area. They were not there for crowd control — they were directing traffic because the traffic signals were completely out. The neon sign in the window of Affiliated was out as well.

Clients started streaming OUT of the mill in a pretty steady flow. All the lights were out inside the abortion mill!  I don’t know about you, but if I were any of the women inside that place, I would not be sticking around for an abortion by candlelight.

As the women streamed out, we said, “This is a sign from God that you should keep your baby!  God has a plan for your baby!  Go home!  Love your baby!  Have a wonderful Easter!”  One young mom smiled and nodded in agreement with our statement!  The ‘deathscorts’ were very busy doing damage control, scoffing at our divine implications.

The Doubting Thomases out there may still find it hard to see the hand of God at work here.  Every building, street light, traffic signal on Farwell, as far as the eye could see, was without power, save one, whose lights were burning brightly amidst the darkness.  That building was the pro-life crisis pregnancy center across the street from Affiliated, the Women’s Care Center. God’s way of smiling at pro-lifers on Good Friday, and a message for the vulgar, angry pro-aborts we encounter all too often?

Cool 40 Days for Life story

40 Days for Life recently wrapped up. Closing ceremonies were held at the 40 Days locations across the state. We celebrated the 28 lives spared from abortion in Milwaukee.

The photo below is from Juneau County’s closing ceremony. In Juneau County, we’ve found great inspiration in an even younger Pro-Life Wisconsinite. At just ten years old, Alex recently suffered an unexplained stroke. While he’s bouncing back, Alex’s future remains uncertain. But in spite of everything, Alex’s mother called the Pro-Life Wisconsin office to tell us Alex promised to dedicate his recovery to prayer for 40 Days for Life. Alex and his family are in the picture below, praying for an end to abortion.

Join us in Good Friday Stations of the Cross tomorrow, and say a special prayer for Alex and his family.

“Baby Jesus ultrasound” billboards back by popular demand!

Due to the overwhelming popularity and appreciation of the “Baby Jesus ultrasound” billboard Pro-Life Wisconsin placed in three Wisconsin cities before Christmas, the image is back, this time celebrating Mother’s Day. Read the backstory here.

The above billboard can be found in Milwaukee at the intersection of 76th Street & Florist Avenue.  The billboards are also in two Kenosha locations — the intersection of Sheridan Rd & 83rd St  and the intersection of 30th Ave & 60th St. The Kenosha billboards are co-sponsored by Right to Life of Kenosha.

The billboards were posted Monday, April 18 and will be up for a month.

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel fails to recognize preterm delivery, induced abortion link

An April 17 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article explored the link between premature delivery and infant mortality. Specifically, blacks in the U.S. have double or triple the rates of premature births than whites:

For decades, researchers have found that African-Americans across this country had double or even triple the rates of prematurity, low birth weight and infant mortality of their white counterparts. A married, college-educated African-American woman faces worse odds than a white, unmarried woman who dropped out of high school.

Missing from the MJS analysis was the proven link between preterm delivery and past induced abortions. (Remember, this is the MJS that wished Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, the state’s #1 abortion provider, a very public “Happy 75th birthday!” last year.)

In Wisconsin, 6.2% of the population is black, yet 24% of all state abortions are on African-Americans, which is four times the representation.

By willfully ignoring the impact abortion has on women and communities, the MJS continues Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger’s wish to exterminate the black population. Sanger once wrote, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”

40 Days for Life wraps up with 483 babies saved, 28 saves in Milwaukee

From the national 40 Days for Life:
So far during this campaign, we are aware of 483 babies who have been saved from abortion. (And reports from local teams will still be coming in for the next week or so. So we hope and pray that number will continue to grow.)

Since 40 Days for Life started these coordinated campaigns in September of 2007, we now know of more than 4,000 babies saved from abortion! And yes, THAT is the milestone! The current total is 4,082!

4,082 people is a lot of folks! If you’ve ever heard of Centerville, Tennessee or Lathrop, Missouri — those are towns whose populations are around 4,082.

Through your prayers, God has spared enough human beings to fill a whole town.

From 40 Days for Life Milwaukee:
What we have accomplished in the 40DFL campaigns throughout the years is indescribable. The spring 2010 campaign had 10 saves. The fall 2010 campaign had 20 saves. This spring, we are at 28 saves. Combined, these precious souls would pack a school bus. The growth in saves can be directly attributed to your growth in faith and action. In the photo, left, Archbishop Listecki led pro-lifers in prayer this past Friday at Affiliated Medical Services.

More than 100 pro-lifers attended a 40 Days for Life Mauston closing celebration at St. Patrick Church in Mauston on April 17. Speakers included Will Goodman, Lisa Sommers (Rachel’s Vineyard Stevens Point), Juneau County DA Scott Southworth and PLW’s Steve Karlen.

40 Days for Life Wausau had its closing rally and celebration on April 17 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Marathon. Featured speakers included Very Rev. Joseph G. Diermeier, Rep. Jerry Petrowski (PLW’s 2009 Legislator of The Year), PLW’s Peggy Hamill and the powerful testimonies of vigilers.

Vulgar, angry pro-aborts

The anger and vulgarity displayed by pro-aborts has been documented numerous times, most recently at the Joe Scheidler tribute on April 2.

This past Saturday, April 9, Affiliated Medical Services was closed. The pro-abort clinic escorts showed up anyway, demonstrating a whole lot of class.

Add that to the list of things you won’t see outside any other type of medical surgery facility. This is the same abortion facility where two botched abortion victims were rushed to the hospital, in the same day.

Nothing says Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin like an STD

Because nothing says Planned Parenthood like an STD, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is offering various forms of free STD testing in the month of April. Because Milwaukee is extra-special, gonorrhea testing is included in the “free” gamut.

The City of Milwaukee, however, already provides free STD testing and counseling all 12 months of the year. As do innumerable health clinics throughout the state of Wisconsin. Notice there are zero PPWI facilities on that list.

As the movie Blood Money shows, Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses just want to get girls through the door. What a SHOCK it would be to find that PPWI is pushing pregnancy tests along with the STD tests. And hey, as long as you’re already here, we can set up an appointment to get that blob of flesh taken care of.
